Report concerns directly to the Florida DBPR, the state agency that oversees HOA compliance. If you’re experiencing issues with records access, elections, governance, or financial transparency, you can submit a complaint for state review. Before filing, gather any emails, notices, or documents related to the issue to help DBPR review your case more effectively.

Residents are encouraged to register to vote in Miami-Dade County so they can participate in future CDD elections. Once the community reaches 250 registered voters, homeowners become eligible to elect the majority of the CDD Board instead of having it controlled by the developer. Registering ensures your voice counts when the district transitions to homeowner control.
Homeowners can help by staying informed, documenting issues, sharing accurate information with neighbors, participating in petitions and discussions, and volunteering to support outreach or research efforts. To get involved, email: villaportofinoeastjustice@gmail.com
